  If your looking for one of the most iconic views of the Golden Gate Bridge then this is the spot to visit. From the top of the gun emplacements you get awesome views over The Bay towards Alcatraz and out into the Pacific the other way. It's fascinating to explore around inside Battery Spencer itself and imagine what life must have been like manning this place. Be aware there it can be really cold up here even on a hot day and if you have kids there are cliff edges that only have a small wire fence to stop you. Parking is very limited but the Muni 76X runs on Saturday and Sunday, hourly in the morning and every 90 minutes in the afternoon from downtown to here and the Nike missile site then on to Rodeo Beach.

  Gorgeous view of the Golden Gates; you must visit to have a panoramic view of this beauty and the ocean. It is so much better seeing it in person. It gets crowded especially with parking but turnaround time is pretty quick, as people come to take photos and then leave. Would recommend coming early to avoid major crowds but definitely worth the trip and photos!
